Perth: Play for Peace , 11 am Sunday 1 December, Russell Square, Northbridge The day is a party for and celebration of peace with live music, speakers, info sharing, kids space, stalls, food and games. Hobart: Rally 30th November Franklin Square 11:15am. march to to the Parliament House Lawns Regional ActionsAlice Springs: Rally, 10am, Saturday Nov 30, Town Council Lawns. A candlelight vigil will also be held from sunset at the gates of Pine Gap. The newly formed Central Australian Network for Peace has organised a Rally for Peace on November 30 as part of a nationwide weekend of action opposing war with Iraq. The Network is supported by the Alice Springs interdonominational church forum, the Arid Lands Environment Centre, the Alice Springs branch of MAPW, the Alice Springs Human Rights Network, Scribes of the Centre, and many individuals. The Rally will be addressed by Rosalie Riley, an Arrente woman, Fr Pat Mullins SJ, the Imam of the Alice Springs mosque, Glenn Marshall from ALEC and a representative of MAPW. There will also be performances from a local choir and a member of the writers group Scribes of the Centre.
